What kind of kids would THESE two have?

Probably a tall, kinda-skinny, rangey human.

Or you can just call him Ogrek and forget the stats. Either works, really.

I'd go with a 25% chance of being human, 25% half elf, 25% half ogre, 25% stillborn/miscarried elf-ogre thing, 'cause elf and ogre DNA just don't splice.

I don't feel like drawing the box on the screen, you can all see it in your heads.

Hmmm, I think that you'd get an ancestor of Ogrek The Undisciplined.

As for elves & ogres not mixing, the old Dragon article series Voyages of the Princess Ark detailed an elf-ogre crossbreed race, so there's precedent that isn't a bloody joke.

There's always Mongrelfolk, right?

The elf-ogre hybrid from Mystara was called the Ndjatwa --- however, they were a magical fusion (the gods must be crazy).

The numbers being bandied about are basic genetics (the ratios look like those derived from a Punnet square). Someone pointed out that this situation is one of blending, which I would tend to agree with. The easiest thing to do is assume that there *is* a chance of miscarriage, and a high probability that any surviving child is basically human. After all, the D&D world is chock full o' humans and this might be why... Of course, you could allow the child to take a bloodline (see Unearthed Arcana), or create for it 'feats of the blood' based on Snake Blood (FRCS) and Orc Blood (Dragon 315, Regional Feats of Oerth).

I would probably create a blending of the races rather than make them human. In terms of appearance they would look most like a human, but an elf looking at him (or her) would recognize certain features, as would an orc (slightly bulkier build, slightly pointed ears). Both orcs and elves would regard this creature with mild disdain. In terms of rules, I might do it as such:

Strength +1, Intelligence -1, Charisma -1.
+1 bonus to listen, spot and search
Darkvision 30 ft.
Does not have enough orc or elf blood to activate racial magic items
Favored Class: any

I think it would be easy enough in a D&D world to get some sort of magical aid to ensure that the pregnancy comes to term and that the two bloodline merge fully.

Well, there was a Half-Ogre template in a semi-recent Dragon issue, if that helps any. It was the issue with the Were-wolf on the cover, and contained other half-breed templates as well (half-doppelganger, half-nymph, etc.). If only I could remember the number...

This is just a thought-

male/female 7 ft tall. slight hunchback. long arms and legs. Over sized brow with pointed ears. Teeth over sized but maybe not protruding. For stats I guess maybe a +2 STR +2DEX -2WIS and a -2 CHA.
Has a facination with things magic but little talent. Maybe for giggles give it the feat of Talented (Psionic in nature to sure the strange fusing of mental/physical traits).

There is a book published by Green Ronin- Bastards and Cross-breds that may help further. I am away from my libraru currently so I can't say for sure.
