I'm not convinced CMB/CMD is actually a better deal. It seems just as possible to get characters with impossible-for-others-to-touch CMB/CMDs as it is with grapple, and the CM system spreads the problem to trip, disarm, etc. Plus, you'd have to figure out how Defense interacts with CMD, and what to do about Dex (CMD is basically touch AC plus CMB; there is no touch Defense in M&M, and Dex doesn't add to Defense at all, so would it still add to CMD?).

Thanks for the votes so far. I will do both a d20 modern/pathfinder/anime d20 hybrid and a 'patfinderized' M&M 2.

The modern d20 Supers OGL project will soon start in a new thread, in which I will analyze the modern d20 game chapter by chapter and look for necessary changes so I can incorporate the Pathfinder changes and anime d20 Attributes (Powers) and Defects (Flaws).

What were your ideas for a classless system? Would they acquire points after creation and use those to "buy" Health and abilities and such?

I'd actually like to see a professional-looking printed version of Microlite 20 and its various 'core' supplements. By "professional-looking" I mean: artwork, fancy layout, etc. Like the Microlite Purest Essence document, but extended to include the various Microlite 'core' supplements and, maybe, and expanded bestiary.

Wait for the new thread. I will post a link here.

Edit: Designing OGL Supers for d20 modern

Sorry, I'm not that knowledgeable in Microlite. Had it any 'Supers' support? I only know the 'Purest essence document' and it looks like a fantasy only book.

Some explanation why I will do a d20 modern/pathfinder/anime d20 hybrid before a 'patfinderized' M&M 2

The M&M rules have no easily available online SRD to my knowledge. To avoid using closed content, I will have to proof the legal stuff in the books again, which will take some time.

Purest Essence is fantasy only, but there are a ton of fan-made supplements out there, including support for supers, pulp adventure, espionage, Star Trek (with serial numbers filed off), Firefly (with serial numbers filed off), etc. Check out this thread for some links. There's a link to the latest Microlite Collection in that thread - 661 pages of Microlite games.

I simply mentioned Purest Essence because it boasts good layout and very pretty graphic design. Most of the Microlite stuff is very playable, but it looks kind of... ass-y. If somebody put together a real 'core book' for Microlite with all of the various genre rules integrated into it and with a professional-looking layout, I'd be all over it.
