What kinda weather you love........>>>>

Fall is my favorite time of year.

I like anything between 55-75 deg, with a wind of 0-20 mph.

The occasional persistent, soaking rain...

I live in Texas. I belong in Washington. Most of my cold/wet weather gear gets used fewer than 5 times a year.*

*Confession: I love clothes! When I say my gear doesn't get used but a few times a year, realize that I have a leather trenchcoat, kashmere/wool trenchcoat, an Anorak, a sueded leather jacket, a lambskin bomber...and 3 sets of gloves, 6 scarves, a Russian "Fur" Army Hat, a host of sweaters, Russell Athletic gear, etc. AND I LIVE IN FREAKING TEXAS!

Danny,

It's okay to like Fall, especially in the cooler climes. But honestly rain doesn't work for me. :p

But hey it's your life. I just think Winter is the best ignore button that humanity will ever find. Darn you global warming! :p

Werk,

Fair/calm is a type of weather. Just not my favorite. :p

My favorite day weather wise is

About 20-25 degrees
No breeze at all
Frozen ground
No snow
Not a cloud in the sky

My most hated weather day?
Anytime the dew point goes over 60 and the temp goes over 75. I hate Summer. :(

I live in Arizona so anything is better then the Dry Heat.

I like holdays in the try heat e.g Nairobi(Kenia) or Egypt.

But the best weather of all is in summer:
The 5 minutes before a thunderstorm arrives,
listening to music from Fields of the Nephilim.

Jinx.

Have been recently reading some of the writings of Northrup Frye (a somewhat well known Canadian literary critic from Canada ... not sure if still alive).

Anyway, in this work (titled "An Anatomy of Criticism") he sets forth a possible ... err ... "model" I guess would be the best word ... for organizing man's experiences and reactions as particularly manifested in the arts. The basis for one of the "sides" of this model are the four seasons, and he somewhere in his work he quotes Aristotle as the basis for this "model".

Now I know that this model was fairly prevelent throughout in European writings, paintings, works, etc. right up to the 18th c. before people bean to lose interest and were curious to invent other models (another subject), but I was wondering if anyone else every read or is familiar with this "4 seasons" pattern or had done more reading on it...?

I like Summer and heat. 80's and 90's for me. I like to sweat when I run and I love the sun.

Wait a minute...

Why am I in Illinois?

The colder the better.

Thirded. I'm biased because I'm a human furnace. I tend not to wear a coat until it gets into the 50's.

Autumn is nice because it's cool but you probably won't die if you stay outdoors for a while. I like winter too. I really enjoy, huge, violent thunderstorms and have a bad tendency to go outside when they hit. Not for the whole thing, just for a little bit.

32 degrees centigrade (loads in fahrenheit) in a very dry humidty with slight sea breeze (i guess the month of June on a spanish or greek isle). Hot enuff to tingle the skin, but not too hot u cant walk or do stuff. Just perfect to sit and look and think and write.
