Quite a few different things.
RPGs, that's easy. Shadowdark. D&D had its time of course, but I've moved into a more simple phase of life.
The first game (I didn't even consider RPGs a game when I was younger, weird...) I loved was Magic. It clicks with me like very very few dopamine generators do.
Played some Battletech, way back.
Then we have Doom, the OG. Blew my mind at the time, and frankly still holds up. BG1/2 is another classic, and then Quake 3. That one got me hooked again on PC gaming, and the hours...God the hours...
There were a few games after that, but nothing hooked into my soul like Magic, and Q3, until I got sucked into WoW. That one was a problem lol
Took a long break from anything digital after that, and played a lot of 40K with the boys ( OK, we were all too old to be called boys, but you need a man's salary to really do 40K...)
That blew up with a few bad editions.
Fast forward a bit and the next big game for me was Overwatch. Man, the potential on that was sky high. I don't know here it is now, I checked out about the time Kaplan did.
Then, finally, Shadowdark.
So kind of all over, but at its root?
Easy to learn, hard to master.
