What level should this spell be?

To weigh in myself, it's better to compare it to Magic Missile, except Magic Missile is vastly too powerful for it's level. Magic Missile is equivalent to a 2nd level multi-hit spell (3d6), so if we wcale that back to proper levels (2d4+2) and compare to Cure Wounds (1d8+3) we get 7 vs. 7.5.
