What level would an Make-Large spell be?

I'm thinking about a spell that turns a Medium-sized Cleric (a divine spell that is Personal) into a Large Cleric with all the normal advantages of gaining large size (Reach, +8 Str, -2 Dex, +2 natural armor etc) for 10 minutes per level. What spell level do you think that would be?

Now, what about a spell that makes the change permanent. So permanent, in fact, that you become a large creature. It can't be dispelled or anit-magiced down. You are, for all purposes, now naturally Large.

Enlarge explicitly does not change the size of the character. Permanently large, hmm, you are thinking of reincarnate. Case closed. :)

There's a "Giant Size" spell in Oriental Adventures. It's a wu jen spell and I think it's 7th level, maybe 8th. Duration is 1 minute.

Doing this from memory, but it's a beefy spell.

Well, permanency and a DM that will allow it are 2 good options to start.

But Enlarge specifically does NOT make most of the adjustments noted. So you would need to consult with a DM to get the final requirements.

To my mind this would likely be a...
(thinking)
... right; a 4th level I reckon (similar to Polymorph, but more specialised)

In fact, if you played in my game, I'd be pointing you at Polymorph and saying the magic word; "Ogre" - remember you keep your Int Wis and Cha when Polymorphed...

Then you need to make the p-morph permanent...

you are basically getting +3 to hit, +4 damage, no AC adjustment, reach, and an adjustment to hit points (you do get a con adjustment right?)

Seems like an appropriate 4th level spell for a short duration.

Just have someone else use Polymorph Other on you, and that makes it pretty permanent. (Except for Dispel Magic and Anti-Magic Field.)

There is a divine spell called Righteous Might that does exactly what you're asking for, except for the duration and permanency of it. Therefore, your more powerful version would probably be a Level 7 divine spell.

I would NEVER allow it to be made permanent under normal circumstances, however. WAY too powerful.

Ooo, didn't see that.

Thanks for the heads up on Righteous Might. I hadn't seen that one yet. Its fifth level, so I figure mine would be a Greater Righteous Might and be 7th for 10min/level and around 10th for permanent. Gotta get those epic rules!

BTW-I am the DM. My game is kinda set in the Warhammer world and I noticed that most hero-type characters are giant bloated guys (like Orion of the Wood Elves), so I created this myth that has dwarf heroes of old being descibed as 10' tall. My cleric player is a dwarf so I was thinking about giving him this sort of ability but wasn't sure when.

Go for Persistant Righteous Might. It would cost one of your 9th level spell slots, but it would last 24 hours per casting.
