What quality about armor reduces the chance for spell failure? Is it a special named magical quality or is the that it's masterwork or is it the enhancement bonuses? Or am I making it up and there nothing (besides some prestige class ability) that reduces the chance for spell failure that comes with wearing armor?

Player's Handbook II. Somewhere near the discussion on the Duskblade.

Which was incredibly ignorant of the designer who wrote that, since it doesn't help a duskblade all that much. He only ignores the ASF from light armor, not a certain percentage. So even if he got armor with twilight on it, he'd still have some ASF to worry about... Now Mithril Chain shirt with Twilight... That's a nice piece for any arcane spellcaster... :)

Not ignorant so much as imprecise. They don't all really play the game, as is evident from their awful suggestions of combat routines and terrible optimization (Elminster updated to 3E, anyone? He was not able to take on anything remotely close to his EL and consistently win.)

My guess is that they said, "Hey, what helps casters wear armor?" and put it in, not paying close attention to the details.
