Title says it all.

Assume all 1e modules are converted to 3e. If you've got another, post it.

Sorry, I didn't put a homebrew option.

I voted for the Sunless Citadel(leading into the Forge of Fury), but I have to give a strong second place vote to The Wizards Amulet/Crucible of Freya.

I have started 2 different campaigns since 3rd Edition debuted, and both have worked well.

Of Sound Mind has been my preference of choice as a campaign starter since I first got it.

Gorgolgand's Gauntlet has some appeal as well, and would proably run as my second choice.

for nostalgia reasons, the castle in the Red Basic Boxed set where you fight kobolds and hunt Bargle the Infamous will be a distant third :)

For me, it would depend on the campaign arc I had in mind, as well as the personalities and experience level of the players involved. For the right group, any of the modules listed could work well ... I've run or played through over half, already, and read most of the others.

Some other games that would work well are Of Sound Mind (as arwink has already mentioned), An Introduction to Amberdale, the Burning Plague and Evil's Lesser Minions.

Of Sound Mind. GREAT module.

EDIT: Your players will need to be very cautious or 2-3rd level though. At 1st they should be cautious though.

Death in Freeport and sequels! (Worked for me.)

OSM worked too.

As a third choice, I'd go with the U1-3 series.

Most of the others are too dungeon-crawly for my tastes. (Especially B2, the only semi-redeeming feature of which is nostalgia.)
