Pathfinder 1E What project would you like Paizo to tacke next for Pathfinder?

What project for Pathfinder would you like Paizo tackle next?

Anything I don't devlop or want to...

Since I'm working on a Japan fantasy analog - I really don't want to see Paizo develop something that upgrades something I am already developing - I want the credit and product sales for my stuff and not desiring Paizo to bypass my efforts with something of their own.

I'd rather see them develop stuff I never plan to, like Psionics, Epic Level play or Modern, so nothing they create trumps my work (pretty selfish, I know.) Since I stay away from typical fantasy settings, Paizo is welcome to keep developing for that! :P

Monsters PC ftw! Ever since my MERP times I liked to play as goblins or orcs - but ever since I've read the Jig the Goblin saga I love monster settings even more :)

And to this comes a second part - more adventures. Now, this is a bit problematic, because personally I rarely if ever use published adventures, and likely would not change that attitude much (though the fact that there's an option of getting digital version for less cash is tempting, so it'd brake down to the price). However, I've seen many opinions along the line "yeahhh... it looks cool - but I don't want to be stuck with system that has no published adventures...". And RPG systems are like a playable tautology, the more popular they are the more popular they get.
Again, this is more of a nudge, that this might be worth investigating, psychology of potential customers is a tricky one. But publishing more source books will do nothing for those uncertain of how good Pathfinder will fare.

As another thing worth investigating - how about some translations? I've already tracked down some shops that sell Pathfinders rulebooks, but the only thing that stops me from getting one - is the fact that there's no version in my language. It's no problem for me, but it might be for others, in which case I'd have a rulebook for a great system, but we'd have to fall back to 3.5 simply because one or two of the players don't feel comfortable with eng version.

I don't know how many languages they've managed to wrangle, but I know I've seen French versions of the APs (and maybe the rulebooks) at my FLGS here in Montreal.

Give us more setting setting and adventure material to buy. I'm REAL good with this. It gives us stuff to buy and read without busting the game. Turns out Paizo does this better than anybody. WotC, at its very best, can't beat Paizo in this department. (Indeed, at its very best, WotC came close by simply using Paizo's writers and staff!)

I find this request odd, isn't the point of the thread to request different stuff from Paizo? They'll keep making setting and adventure stuff until the day they die. It's their bread and butter. Is a monthly AP book/bi-monthly module/monthly campaign book/Pathfinder Society adventures/novels/other misc. material that I won't mention not enough for you?

Also, I completely agree on the broken splat. I had this one campaign that was completely overpowered by a Hexblade/Spelltheif/Healer/Marshal/Samurai party :p

If anyone is looking for epic rules, they'll called "levels 15-20."

Hey Paizo, how about some Ninja-themed Rouge talents? You can never go wrong with ninjas!

I'm still eagerly awaiting the release for that commoner adventure path that I always wanted :P

It never hurts to reiterate what one likes from a line, even if it is simply a vote of continue doing what you're doing because it is great.

For myself

I don't want any of the things in the poll. Well, the Asia themed stuff would be OK I guess, but I don't even need that.

What I want, is to have more detailed versions of their region settings books. For example, I just got the mwangi expanse book, Heart of the Jungle. OK, this book is alright, but I'd like to see them pick some small part of the mwangi expanse and detail the hell out of it.

The current map, which is about 150 miles per inch, is useful for understanding the entire Mwangi expanse, but not very useful for play .

For example, I'd like a setting book where they detail an area including just Bloodcove and the Kaava lands, and the main map for that book should be 11x17, and it should show every village along that big river that runs through the jungle, with one paragraph writeups on each of them, along with much more detail about the small streams that join it, the waterfalls along them, the ruins and monster lairs and game trails and shrines and interior villages, rope bridges, etc.

That is the sort of map I can base a campaign on.

If you're looking for more Mwangi stuff... make sure to check out the upcoming Serpent's Skull Adventure Path. Since it more or less takes place in the Mwangi Expanse... not only the adventures, but the support articles as well. LOTS of new jungle and Africa themed monsters coming in that AP!

And as for an Asia-themed book or set of books... those are looking INCREASINGLY likely to be something we'll be exploring in 2011.

This I don't want. Reason being is that it leaves nothing to the imagination. Just take Forgotten Realms or Dragon Lance for example. Every game you play it seems you turn the corner and, "Oh... well Hello there Drizzt!" or "Nice to meet you Tanis." WotC didn't destroy Forgotten Realms for nothing, from there own words it was because every parcel of land had been measured and weighed and nothing was left for the imagination. I like that one player's "Golarion" is different from anothers, but yet still familiar.

Overdetailed settings

Well, I agree with you about Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance, but I think that had to do with the novels, not overly detailed maps.

I'm proposing a map wth villages (primarily those along the river) marked, and one paragraph blurbs on their location. Stuff with this level of detail:

"Arisha, hamlet (population 60 humans). Arisha is a small collection of huts on the banks of the Zambesi river, whose occupants sustain themselves by fishing. The elder of Arisha is Ikanosa, age 65, Warrior3 (but with -4 to STR due to age). There is a small shrine to xxx diety, but no witch doctor."

Would that level of detail really cramp your style? You could always override the settings for the stuff you personally wanted to write up, and leave the rest.
