What qualities make a gamer awesome?

I think most everything is covered, and I have to agree with it...

One thing I'd add, is a willingness to learn the system, whatever it is, that the game is being run in. The player doesn't have to master it or know every rule in and out, but willing at least to learn the basics.

So many things smooth out with many different profiles of player if they've learned to recognize their dice...

Good communication skills that go beyond describing character actions, particularly if there's something about the game they don't like about the game or think could be better. If no one speaks up, tension builds until things get bad for everyone.

Bringing food to share.

But for me?

Reliability (He comes to the table every session, and isn't too late). Attentiveness (He's involved in the game). Gets into his character (he does things like argues whether an evil shrine should be destroyed).

no body odor... or at least if you have body odor make sure it's "flowers" and not "dead man and onions".

But not a gallon of flowers to cover the dead man and onions. We can tell.

Understands that this is a game, that we're here to have fun, and that arguments about insignificant points ruin both.

Understands that the GM is a human too and gives him room to maneuver (especially when the GM has made a mistake).

Understands that, for the sake of game/plot flow, some things have to be handwaved over despite the GM's best efforts to make the game consistent and believable; realism arguments should come after game time, not during play.

Understands that whining is BAD for everyone's fun.

Immerses herself in the game, avoids off-topic discussion/jokes and tries to play in-character.

Understands that there are other players as well and that they deserves their spotlight as well.
