What Race Do You Usually Play?

What race to you usually play? If you play so many you can't pin it down, just pick your favorite of the ones you do play.

Way back, when I first started playing D&D in third grade, I had just finished reading the Hobbit for the first time. To boot, I was -- and would be for many, many years to come -- the shortest, scrawniest little runt in my class.

As a result, I've had a fondness for halflings ever since the beginning.

I've spent most of my gaming life DMing. I've been playing in a few campaigns in the last few years, but I haven't played enough characters to really define a trend. I've played two half-elves, an astral deva, a halfling and two humans.

Humans. My second choice would be dwarves.

Now this is easier for me to answer. I play humans 90% of the time.

I like to play a variety of races but I find that a plurality are humans.

I didn't vote: too many choice, it doesn't make sense to me to differentiate between hill dwarves and mountain dwarves. Then, I still cannot fathom what a "Flumph" is.

I generally play humans.
I hate gnomes; I often played halflings in the past, but not anymore; I never play elves; I did play half-elves once or twice; I never played dwarves although I like the concept; I did play a half-orc once for roleplaying reasons, but don't like this race as for me it is the weakest D&D race.

Only ever humans. I simply don't like any other race or even the choice of other races.

Yup, that would definitely be a humanocentric game I play.

Humans. Thinkking about this though, it has occurred to me that I've never (in 17 years of D&D) played an elf. My last 6 characters have been human, apart from a brief spell as a Svirf. I've played halflings, gnomes, air genasi and dwarves, but never an elf. Maybe I'll have to start now.
