What race would you like to see?

Flight is just such a huge bennie for a race, I'm not sure if you could manage true flight and a LA +0. Perhaps a glide ability?

A LA 0 Lizard folk race would be bloody fantastic too.

I feel like I've seen this in one of the Eberron books, but for the life of me I can't remember which one. I may just be hallucinating, but I feel like in the variety of lizardmen races in Q'Barra there was one that was LA +0.

That's just.... wow... I like it. Would it be able to wear armor and wield weapons, and be treated as a single creature with strange characteristics, or like a swarm? I feel like it would get old after a while, but that's a dern nifty idea. I cannot see a way to make a swarm LA+0, though unless you give it some huge disadvantages. Something that can't really be killed, just "dispersed" and can't even be touched by normal weapons in some cases is just too powerful for a PC.

I'd like to see the old mold men from 2nd Edition. They always intrigued me. When my friends and I were getting out of Hero Quest and into D&D we made stats for a HQ mold man character. It could be pretty fun to play one in the right setting.

- A plant race
- An amphibious race
(may get both of those in the next issue of Dragon)
- A small insect race with w different racial levels paths to metamorphsize into either flying versions (as scouts) or medium creatures (as warriors)
- A replacement goblin that was actually built with PC use in mind (I know IK has one, and is right now my favorite of such, but I still fiddle with them every time i create a new setting)
- As others have said: a shidhe/fae race
- I would add a ghost or undead race, I know WoW RPG has undead and I think Ghostwalk does ghosts but I havent seriously took time to look into them.

I'm with you on using Killoreans as fey elves. And I love catfolk from Races of the Wild. I'd love to see a +0LA variant - perhaps +2 DEX, +0 CHA and no natural armor bonus, everything else the same.

I'd like to see.....

- a Small race that hasn't got a STR penalty - something like a 3-foot tall Galeb Duhr. That would rock (pun intended)
- a Tiny flying fey
- an intelligent skeleton, like the Eleti from Mythic Races but without most of their abilities. While we're at it, I'd love to see the entire of Mythic Races revised for 3.5 edition with the LAs fixed. Not sure if this has been done yet
- an awakened cat at 1HD
- pseudodradon

How about templates that don't change the LA? I'm thinking something like

- winged: gain flight, -2 STR -2 CON
- lizardkin: +1 natural armour, -2 DEX
- glamourkin: +4 CHA -2 WIS -2 CON

Glamourkin elves and winged halflings. Mmmmmmmmmm...........

Good thread, this. Keep it coming!

A roughly man sized, or slightly smaller rabbit fey race (call it Pooka or something). Cautious, Wise, but flighty. Main attribute would be fast speed (base 40) and jump bonus. Rather plain as a race otherwise (at least mechanically). There can be a warrior race variation with small antlers (Jack-a-lope).

A fey that looks like a elf with the fey type. Maybe some resistance to mind effecting spells. For now i use killorian and just forget it was ever illustrated.

Bearing in mind that the illustration looks nothing at all like the race description, even in the slightest.

I hate that drawing with a burning passion.

Faen...?

Give up your 3rd lvl feat upon reaching 3rd, go into a chrystalis and come out smaller with wings.

Overpowered? Naw, not really. No.
