I find it ironic that the Forgotten Realms, which is in the lead for least favorite setting, is in second place for most played setting, behind homebrews.

What I find interesting is that Kingdoms of Kalamar recieved (along with Planescpe) more votes than FR or GH yet here they are barely registering.

I mean even Scarred Lands has as many votes as KoK ;)!!

Greyhawk is probably the setting I've used most (at least as far as DnD settings go - Middle Earth far surpases any DnD setting), although I'm not using it currently (I'm in a Scarred Lands game currently).

I`m currently gming a Scarred Lands, a Kalamar, a Planescape, and a Forgotten Realms campaign, which I just transferred to the planes, because I couldn`t stand the Realms anymore.
So I voted for Planescape

I know of a few people who love Planescape but don't have the time or will to make a decent 3e conversion, and who don't want to play 2e again.

Things may change when PS 3e is released.

Well, I run mostly homebrew, but when I play it almost always ends up being FR. Seriously, I would be beside myself to actually get to try out Scarred Lands or Kalamar, but no one (around me or that I know) wants to run anything but FR. :(

Just in case I didn't make it clear in the recent poll thread: KoK fans have this deep driving need to show us what an awesome setting we are missing and as such they have all of these campaign drives to push up their votes in the polls.

You will notice that KoK was about half the level of PS or FR in the last poll until about the third page or so (look for my post about how KoK was "getting out the vote" in that thread -- KoK jumped from 26 to 36 votes overnight). That's because someone posted a poll over on the Kenzerco boards (my money would be on Scarogoth) with a link to the thread.

There'll probably be a thread over there about this thread soon if they aren't worn out from the last one, and you'll see their numbers jump here.

As for PS: As someone else said, PS REALLY needs proper support material before people can really take advantage of running it in 3e.

Believe me - I noticed that and was a little annoyed that they would do something so pathetic. I just wanted a somewhat acurate gauge as to what people are actually playing (no real surprise that homebrew campaigns are the most popular - but some other surprises here I think)

Well, hopefully they will only vote if they actually play it. Although most of them rarely post here I don't think that should be 'counted against' them - any and all should vote here, newcomers and 'old guard' alike. It would be nice if they contributed to the boards more often though. I can't imagine just gushing on and on about the same thing over and over again can be very interesting ;)

That's a very good point that you and Zappo make. I wonder if any third party publishers will take up the riens of PS?

I'd have no problem with the KoKers ballot stuffing if those newcomers were actually going to participate in the ENWorld community. I read that thread. There were several posters that said they were registering just so they could pad the KoK vote.

I hope the first-timers actually look at the ENBoards and really join the community. I hate to think genuine members got screwed by a fouled poll just so one D&D subcommunity could try to show what a great setting they've got.

They have accomplished on thing with their ballot stuffing. I've changed my mind on convincing my DM to run a KoK game.
