D&D 5E What settings would you like to see in 5e?

Nobody mentioned Michael's Moorcock Eternal Campion series? What a shame! I would love to see Elric, Hawkmoon, Ericose,VonBek and all the other aspects of the Eternal Champion, their allies and enemies.

Regarding wotc, i would instantly buy anything that has to with Planescape, Birthright and Mystara

In talking with my friends, I think we are rapidly approaching a generation who has not read any of those.

I do my best to introduce my friends to books that actually inspired many of the tropes they are familiar with, but its an uphill battle.

Thinking of literary worlds I'd love to play/run in that haven't been mentioned:

I'd like Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings (the Farseer trilogies, etc.) Very different magic systems that would have it's own classes plus alchemy and poison. Plus a wonderfully realized world.

Guy Gavriel Kay writes some wonderful worlds, though since it's often real world influences plus thematic fantasy elements that's not surprising. Tigana or The Fionavar Tapestry leap to mind.

Jacquelin's Carey's world that she sets her various books in is interesting, but there's a lot less casting going on then in a standard D&D setting which might make it hard to realize. Maybe with Blue Rose. :) (Which could also possibly handle Guy Gavriel Kay's A Song for Arbonne)

The setting of Steven Brust's Talos/Khavren novels might work well. Instead of races you can have houses.

Oh, and China Mieville's dark dark world gives me shivers.
