Following is my posted response on the KoK boards to the repost of Sean's tale of the Rums. It does pretty much sum up my feelings on the future of the Realms.
"Sorry, little elves. Find new homes. The days of the Rums are coming to an end. Something better and brighter lies on the horizon, out of the reach of the evil Bean-Counters and their overlords. There are many other publishers of books on the histories of different Rums, and completely different liquors all together which are even tastier to many people. Perhaps they will give you good homes.
"You should use your powers to serve good, not evil."
