Over here, at least, there was a release of the DVDs that included the original versions amongst the special features, which is quite nice. But they genuinely are the original versions, not even the remastered or LaserDisc versions - so "Star Wars" doesn't have "Episode 4: A New Hope" in the title crawl, the sound is in stereo (I think) rather than 5.1, and so on. They're nice to have, certainly, but probably not quite what I would have chosen to have.

So close, yet so far.The DVDs used non-anamorphic video sourced from the 1993 LaserDisc releases, which was nowhere near the same quality as the remastered versions of the films present in the 2004 boxset.
I'm basically at a point with Star Wars releases where I'm going to just use Harmy's version as the definitive edition. They've been so late releasing high def versions and so edit-happy every time that it's just not worth my time and money to even humor official releases any more.
