Been playing around with GSNotes, journal software which is okay. Also been playing around with MS Onenote, which while cost is high is a sweet little program.

Forgot my vote on other word processing software, since the program I certainly use the most in relation to roleplaying is the almighty Notepad! :D

If I am at home or at my laptop, it's WordPerfect and Quattro Pro for most appropriate things.

Word Perfect, of course, for game notes, house rules, creature writeups, and the like.

Quattro Pro for a variety of gaming related tasks: demographics, magic item costing, XP tabulation, quick stat generation and skill point tabulation, and other reference material that is better off in spreadsheet format (like my grand deity/domain cross reference list.)

Word and Excel when I am on another computer...

And, of course, CC2 is my choice for mapping software.

Silveras, I don't suppose you'd consider posting this on your website for others to download and use? Unfortunately, your spells db has non-OGC material, so it's off-limits, but it sounds like sharing the monster db wouldn't break any rules. I hope you'll consider it.

I always consider things like that. The primary use is, of course, for me. But I also try to design my tools so that I can fairly easily strip out non-OGC material. The monster db is still a work-in-progress, though. I left out the Dragons, for the moment, because 120 variations is a bit much to slog through the data entry of. :)

[Edit: Oh, and I use Visio as well for mapping. I have created some stencils for myself ... some have Master Maze pieces for indoor mapping, others have indoor/outdoor building designs based on the Miniature Building Authority buildings. ]

Excel for just about everything character related.
Word of notes, house rules etc.
CC2 and any other drawing program I can try to do maps if I don't break down and do them by hand. (always faster it seems) :D
Access slowly building a db to use to track everything in the world from towns, people, treasure, items, exp, etc...long daunting process with an extreme lack of time due to work, school, certification courses, and game prep of course.
Plus just about anything else I find usable I would use
Given time I'll design and code my own stuff as needed if someone doesn't beat me too it.

I use Microsoft word for the adventure text , Excel for some tables ,
and AUTOREALM for the maps : i'd recommend this : it's simple , quick , and above all free !!

Greetings .
