what superhero movie do you want to see?

How about a Dazzler movie. Think how much fun it would be to combine superhero movies with roller disco.

She could be played by Celine Dion or Mariah Carey! They'd be perfect.

Incidentally, Marvel is on record as saying that Dazzler is the only mutant guaranteed to never show up in an X-Man movie.

Preacher? No, more supernatural than superheroic.

James Marston, the guy who played Cyclops, is signed to play Jesse Custer in the Preacher movie.

More disturbingly, Keanu Reeves is signed to play John Constantine. An American John Constantine, set in Los Angeles. Apparently the plot is based on Dangerous Habits, though, so that's a good sign.

Hope it doesn't fall apart or turn out crappy, I'd hate to see such a good story ruined.

Yes, but of course highest-grossing doesn't really mean anything since, for example, movie tickets were $4 when Batman came out, and now they're $8+. Big shock that the highest grossing movies are mostly recent ones -- if the film is more than 10 years old and is still up there then I'm considerably more impressed.

Of course X2 was incredible, a true superhero movie, by far the best imo. Like Spidey but moreso, it really has the feeling of a comic book.

Don't knock it, he has drawing power. Reeves has quite a following and will bring a lot of people to the theater that would otherwise miss the film about a character they are unfamiliar with. His name will also mean that it will get a large enough budget to do right. This has happened before, I am not a Ben A. fan at all, but he had enough star power to bring people to big budgeted Daredevil. On a similar note, I would not have pictured Matthew McConnahay as Dirk Pitt, but he is enought of a draw that Clive Cussler's "Sahara" should also do well at the box office.

And I agree with CCamfield, an Astro City film would be great (and anyone reading this who doesn't know what Astro City is, do yourself a big favor. Stop by a comics shop and pick up any or all of the 4 trade paperbacks that are out, as well as the current issue(s), you'll be glad you did.)

It is IMPOSSIBLE to do Preacher in one movie without making it really, really bad. If they plan it to be a movie trilogy then maybe it would be worth seeing.

How can you do anything else BUT knock it? Anybody who know anything about the comic HellBlazer knows that Keanu is COMPLETELY wrong for the part. It's my hope this movie never gets made.
