What the heck happened to the halflings?

Old halflings were too much like hobbits and I never used them in my homebrews. New halflings are little badasses and I groove on them.

They found that if they got out and got some excercise, they could get around that whole 'tastes good with barbeque sauce' racial disad that they've had all this time.

Somehow I understand why so many gamers would find that idea quite abhorrent. ;)

Meadow sprites found portals to the major campaign worlds, and decided to settle there instead of staying in alecrast. The hobbits decided to stay in their hobbit holes all day, and meadow sprites replaced them.

Now, now, those oldschool halflings are still playable. And it is challenging in a roleplaying situation, to break away from the rotund reputation.
And those snappy little smart pants! You just don't see tailoring like that in 3E!

hell bender

shhh....they're just sucking in their tummies and hiding their hairy feet till the pointy-hat wizard is out of sight.

.....they don't want to get drafted into a trilogy.

I'm dreadfully groupless, though not in Toledo. :( My grandma lives there, though you wouldn't want her in your group - she's pretty rabidly anti-d&d :p

Well... I mean... no one comes to toledo on purpose. :) So that much is understandable. And yeah, grandmothers don't usually make good gamers. :)
