By rectifying, I meant they are takig steps to insure that this does not happen in the future - check the Publishing forum for more info.
It got to the point where I prefer to wait for the second or third printing.
Then there is the release date. Yeah, as you stated, some people are glad the product came out on time. But wouldn't you be much more happier if they decided to be more meticulous in their editing, even they have to delay the release date? I think for some companies, meeting the deadline is more important than meeting the quality of the product. And it is us, the customers (at least most of you guys), prefer that way: Release Date before Quality.
