What to bring to the company BBQ...

Tomorrow is our company July 4th BBQ. I'd have preferred it another day but I have no say in the matter.

Anyhoo, last time I brought tamales and they were popular, but expensive. The beef and possible lesser meats are provided, somebody got fruit salad, macaroni, corn, rolls, chips. If I had my grandmother's baked beans recipe I might make that but I'm lazy and would prefer just having a beer when I get home tonight.
And I think pies for dessert are covered too.

What are favorites that you bring to potluck type events?

A seven layer dip would run you about 20 bucks.

A variation on potato salad (although I think 100people already have dibs)

Fruit salad is good- or just a massive plate of fruit like watermelon

jello mold is cliche and super cheap

20 poundsof beef ribs (1.50 per pound)

20 pounds of chicken (1.50 per pound)

How big is the company? how many people are you expecting?

edit for more suggestions

What's a Tamale?

I can't figure out if you are joking or possibly deprived. Tamales, Mexican goodness for the tummy. Beef, chicken or pork, wrapped in a masa, steamed inside a corn husk.

Wait, that's not like a hennway at all! At least, not a 'classic' hennway. Huh.
