What to do with the old 3.0 books?

Okay, you don't live in the US, so... But in the U.S. never do that! You could be arrested / imprisoned / sued / etc., for attempting to turn an innocent child to the worship of the Devil. So an idea to immediately forget, this should seem obvious! ;) :D

There was one thread like this a while ago where someone suggested sending them to the USO. A lot of gamers seem to have been in the military so someone is likely to get use out of them plus you get that warm fuzzy feeling from helping make the lives of a few servicemen (and women) serving overseas a bit better.

Use them as a reference for things that should not have been changed, like cover and concealment rules, monster face and reaching, etc.

I handed them on to a non-gaming friend whose eleven year old was interested in DnD but didn't own the books. Aparently they were one of the better things about his Christmas holidays.

Everyone has given my best advice already:

1. Sell on ebay. I'm doing that with my old Magic cards and it is going well.
2. Find a needy person here on ENWorld. We're all friends here.

One idea idea I didn't think off but thought it was a great idea:

3. Donate to the USO ( insert name of your version down under :) ). From what I understand, D&D is quite popular with the servicemen.

Lots of good ideas already... If you can't keep 'em, are you sure they won't fit in a box? ;) I would say make sure they get to someone that will use them and may not have the money to purchase them when they aren't sure they will be into the hobby. The library suggestion is great, just make sure they will use them to loan out and not sell them at the library sale.
