I'm just curious- for those unable to attend GEN CON this year- what are you doing?

I hope to restart the monthly gaming group (assuming most don't go to GEN CON that is).

I'm posting to my PbP games and playing in my d20 fantasy game. Good stuff. I wouldn't want to go to GenCon. I had a bad time last time I went.

I got lost in the city with about 30 minutes sleep and wandered around in the rain for hours.

It sucked.

Staying home and RPing is much safer, and I have access to all the odd people I would see through the internet, where I can control the ammount of weirdness.

Luckily for me, I only know one person who's going. So it's business as usual for us. We have two game sessions scheduled this week.

Pouting and hating the hand that Fate dealt me this year. I went for the first time last year, and despite being a total n00b, I had a blast. But because some idiot who should have her driver's license taken as well as be sterilized so that she can't reproduce, I lost all my leave time recovering from surgery after she hit my car in January. The members of my group who AREN'T going to GenCon can't game this weekend anyway, so I'll just be sitting at home brooding.

I don't think anyone from our gaming group is going, so we'll be attending our regularly scheduled game. YAY!
