D&D 5E What to play after finishing the D&D Starter Set? - new blog post

I've just posted on my blog an article about running one of the published D&D Storyline Adventures with the same characters as those you took through the Starter Set. Each of the published adventures has a "jumping-in" point that works with the Starter Set, but they're not always detailed. This article details my advice for linking a published adventure with Lost Mine of Phandalin.

With any luck, I'll keep it updated as more information comes out about Out of the Abyss and further published adventures.

Cheers!

Doing LMoP now with my kids, and I've been internally debating going into PoA or OotA. I've got some time, so reviews will be helpful.

Just had an idea. Each time WotC publishes one of these storylines they should include in the downloadable material suggestions for additional NPCs or short side treks to be included in LMoP that provide hooks to the new story line...That way DMs could put them in and at the end the PCs could choose which story line to follow.

AND/OR

Maybe someday they'll update the starter set with a new adventure and include hooks into some of the existing storylines.
