What TTRPG Is Perfect and Complete In One Volume?

It is a very good game. The Ironsworn system is one of my favorites. I need to investigate running it as a more traditional GM guided RPG.

I really have to give that a look at some point, though I don't think the current way the game is set up to be run would suit my players; I vaguely remember reading it has some discussion of using it the way you're referring to, if I'm not conflating it with a different game.

If I could come only keep three books they would be: ICRPG (contains excellent GM advice and you can run any genre). EZD6 (great for one shots and conventions) finally Whitebox: Fantasy Medieval Adventure Game (a clean simple D&D).

So "perfect" is a very high hurdle.
For my answer, I guess it would have to be a game that had no supplements or if it did, they either added nothing or just were so inferior it just made more clear that all you needed was the main book. Furthermore, said book would have to leave no real ideas needing exploration for the game to work.

Adventure! from White Wolf is the one that springs to mind.
