Well, "storyteller" would probably come closest...

...but it's still not that accurate. Basically, I see it as my job as a GM to come up with some sort of villainous plot. Then I let the PCs stumble across it, and lean back to watch what happens.

I am primaraly a storyteller, but once combat starts (or when designing a combat encounter) I land squarly in the tactician part. I think my players would actually agree with this assessment ;)
 

After ~170 votes, I think it's safe to say I need to focus more on storytelling in my next campaign. Although tactian came up big, I think the focus isn't to mentally spare your players with game nuance challenges related to certain skills. Instead I think I will develop my world a little more with some intrigue that the players may or may not discover and write some more history into the backgrounds of NPCs, locations, dieties, etc.

The kind without a group to run :(

Actually I put method actor, only because I try to make the players care to some degree about the fates of the NPCs for good or ill. Stories can naturally flow out of the characters surrounding the players, but only if the players have some interest in the individuals around them.
