What type of food do you eat while gaming?

Maybe grilling some burgers would be a good idea once it gets a bit warmer. We'll load some charcoal into the trunk of a car, go to the park, and use one of the grills there.

Then, play at one of the picnic tables!

We eat before the game and snack during. Chips, cookies, veggies. It is always changing. I satrted gaining weight because I am a 30 year old man, so now I drink water and don't snack.

I want to be at my heights optimal weight at about 165 lbs by the end of summer (20 lbs to go). At 5'10 I did not think that was possible unless I lost all my muscle mass (I don't have an abundance to start with), but I saw an episode of Man Vs. Beast on FOX where a Navy seal who was my height weighed 169 lbs and had plenty of muscle. He kicked a chimps ass in a race with lots of climbing. BTW, that is one stupid ass show.

I love to cook, so we have had everything from fondue to pot roast at games I play and GM. At one friend's house the snacks come in courses, there's the seedless white grape course, the navel orange course, and the lil pizzas fresh from the oven course. I have made Beef Wellington for a gaming group as well as a dish called Pollo Panzano. Then there is the monthly Saturday group on Long Island where assorted Bagels with flavored cream cheeses are the initial snack, leading up to homemade cheesecake; and after the session breaks up (around 7PM) we usually head out to a local Kosher Chinese restaurant (Sweet and Pungent veal... mmmmmm). All that being said I still love the occasional Big Mac and Nine piece McNuggets (so when the DM horks three I still have six), and in the summer we grill, we grill like old people make love, we do it slowly, savoring the experience as much as the result. The result may not always be what we hoped it would, but the journey is always strangely satisfying. And through it all, we drink Coke and Mountain Dew (with the occasional cup of tea).

We used to eat lots of very junky foods, but when I host I make sure we have microwave popcorn, pretzels and chips and salsa. It's still fast, cheap and junky, but better than Doritos someone brought last week (which we discovered were chock-full of MSG "goodness"). I usually make ice tea and coffee. If we order food, it's usually either chinese or Jimmy John's.

When we played early one week, my boyfriend bought bagels, fruit, orange juice and muffins for the group. In the summer, he makes a beer kettle full of chili at least once. That's actually a good gaming meal as long as the players don't drip it on their character sheets. :)

Don't forget the edamame! Something actually reasonably healthy, amazing.

Tortilla chips & salsa seem to be the big thing for the groups I play with now, less potato chips and doritos and such. A lot of pop, although sometimes coffee instead of soda is good!

Wulf's game on Wednesday's tended more towards the sweets. Wulf gave extra XP if you brought Teddy Grahams. :)

If they are lucky I make my groups cha siu bao:

LOL! Yes, the edamame! I forgot about that! We have a couple of bags at home in the freezer actually...

Yeah, I agree with the coffee because I get sick of soda sometimes (too sweet) and damn, we do need the caffeine. I think TG would be good actually, since they aren't too sweet and not too filling (unless you eat the whole box, of course). :D

Nice to see you to see you around, "Kid." ;)

Diet Coke, Diet Mountain Dew, veggies, sometimes chips and salsa, sometimes sushi and sashimi (wasabi!), water, the occassional homemade pound cake or cheese cake or banana nut bread.
