I vote volcanic swamp jungle seafaring

My campaign is set in Mythic Polynesia and so has a range of tropical and subtropical islands many of them volcanic. They range from sandy beeches through thick rainforest to high snowcapped peaks. The islands also include coral deserts, volcanic badlands, coastal swamps, deep ocean and open grassland all contained within a 50 km radius - High islands are fun

I've played a Mongol empire inspired campaign on the tundra and deserts of central asia, I've played in a setting based on the savanah lands of Afrika and I've played one in which the PCs were riverboat-men going down the worlds longest river (generally temperate but some mountains)

Most often we went cavern exploring, so "Underdark" was the main choice for me.

Other than that, temperate forests and such.

Outside of these I always enjoyed doing an "uncommon" environment for a one or two shot adventure (say underwater, in a desert, on a glacier or what not).

I must add, though, that I never really have liked the idea or the play experience of "plane hopping".

The primary area of my homebrew has Plains & Forests, Mountains (Caves w/access to Underdark), is coastal, has some Jungle and has the start of a large swamplnd in the north-eastern quadrant. The campaign reflects victorian flavor in the civilized areas, and the players love exploring that stuff too.

All of the above. I'm running Eberron, and I my game so far has taken the PCs to Sharn (City), Mhor (mountain), and Breeland (Forest/Plains) but it will soon go to Xen'drik (jungle, touch of desert), Shadow Marshes (swamp), Demon Wastes (wasteland), and Shargon's Straight (aquatic). I might even fit in some Lhaazar (arctic) and Khyber (underdark).

So I'm all over the map. Literally.

The most recent campaign I ran was a "New World" style setting in an archipelago of tropical islands. Jungle, desert/badlands/deadlands, volcanoes... and grippli! :) Civilization was very sparse, but my player deigned on making a city-state and "conquering the New Frontier", so a lot of the mid-level adventuring was centred around improving his city.

I'd have to say, in order, I like...

Urban settings
Other - natural caves/caverns
Temperate Forests
Moutains
Jungles

...and if I never see the Underdark (as opposed to natural caves/caverns) and Plane-Hopping again, I shall be a happy player! ;)
