Jump the gun much?

Thge new rules aren't even out yet. We have only hints as to what they contain. Speculation on what we will or won't be playing is... premature.

I plan to incrementally integrate the 3.5 updates as we confirm specific rules changes, so that by the time the books get released, my players won't notice a thing.

I don't consider anything we've seen thus far to be a really dramatic change (haste is about the closest, but we'd already seen a preview of that with d20M).

I put undecided but it's really more a case of "take what I want and leave the rest."

And from what I have seen from the winter fantasy things, there is a lot of things that need left. The whole DR thing made me say WTF! I not only don't have a problem with the way it works now, I can't rightly recall anyone even complaining about the way it works now. This make me worry that many of the changes in the book may be the authors rebuilding things to their own vision vice doing things that need to be done.
Absolutely.

It's so right, it needed to be quoted again.

But Psion.....what about all those times when you put skeletons up against Titans? Those Titans aren't getting their fair shake if they're damage is being halved! ;)
Heh. That bit was weird. As if half a titan's damage wasn't enough to destroy a skeleton.

I think the users here who might not switch to 3.5E for whatever reason should empathize a lot more with folks who still play OD&D, 1E, or 2E than they may have before... ;)

Well, at least this time you can 'covert to 3.5E' through the SRd and don't HAVE to buy the new books.

The question, now, simply becomes, will WotC redo all the splatbooks and other rule books such as the Psionics Handbook and Epic Level Handbook?

Grrr...

The same one I'm playing now... My own.:D

Which, unfortunately, isn't an option... No, not mine as in "Aedon", but "My Own". Generally, I play a heavily modified game to begin with. Whether or not I incorporate the new material depends on how compatible those changes are with changes I've already made.

I suspect that in a year I will not be playing much D&D at all. My current group is anti D20 in general.

This isn't exactly a system issue with them but a group issue, we have 4 possible DM's E, T, M and Me

E prefers L5r

T get along with eberybody but his schedule is bad for us (he prefres Friday when half the group is alternating L5r and Vampire LARPS)

M is too old school for most of the others in the group

and Me, I suck at running D&D I hardly ever use rules most of the time and I prefer to run (not necessarily play though) other systems I think I will be running Unisystem Buffy and maybe GURPS if I can
