What version of D&D is your favorite to play?

I love 3.X but to me 2nd ed AD&D will always be my favourite.

1e turned me away from D&D for years. 2e didn't tempt me back. 3e did.

We stuck with 1e until 3rd came out, we didnt like 2e. So we currently play 3e, but 1e is my favorite.

Thats why I also play Castles & Crusades.

This is a tough one to vote in because I have not played these games at the same time of my life. It is hard not to be fond of 1E because I was younger then and nostaglia plays a big part in how we remember things from the past. I have had issues with all three versions which is why we houserule.

I guess, overall, I would like to go back and play the simplier days of my youth so I voted for 1E

Yep ... fraid of the choices I would have to take 1e over 3.5, but only slightly. I never liked 2e. Just one of those things I guess.... :\

Hafta go with 3.5. Liked some of 1E's and 2E's core classes, liked the Skills & Powers buildable aspect of 2E (or rather, 2.5E). But, overall, a lot of the stuff in 3E/3.5E wins me over.

I voted 3e, but really only because 3e (or 3.5 actually) is the only game I can seem to find in my area. I'm perfectly happy playing any edition of D&D and just about any game. Maybe I'm a game-aholic.

I've played every incarnation of D&D, and I will never go back to any version of AD&D that predates 3.0

(Personally, I prefer "lighter" variations of the d20 core, but I picked 3.0 for the purposes of your poll)
