I realize that I've only ever DMed AD&D. o_O

I was lucky in that I had others that would DM so I could play as well. I did 75% of all DMing, but was able to manage to play quite a bit. :D

Thanks to my old DMs for splitting the task :D

Boos to the one yahoo in my current campaign who says he is going to DM and never does

Evenalyn - Elven fighter/magic-user

Adventuring career began by being molested by a polymorphed female red dragon but rolled well enough to get a ring of regeneration out of the deal. When the group found "one of the 12 swords of power" we decided to take it to the wizard coucil and sell it. We sold it to one of the council members who gave us a lot of money and a cursed sword and thought it was such a good deal he screwed over the council and fled. The party had heard that our home country had been occupied by barbarians so we took our money, hired a mercenary army in the neighboring country and freed our kingdom in a mass combat adventure being made nobels as reward. While exploring a famous dungeon, we ran into the earlier mentioned evil ex-wizard council member exploring same dungeon. Killed most his party but he killed our paladin and party leader making me the party leader. We later explored a dungeon that netted us an artifact that I put on and it drove me insane (meglomania). BBEG was marchign an army against the good kingdoms and we ended up controling the army as the artifact allowed the party member who could use it to know exactly where all the enemy were and with complete battlefield intelligence, we won. BBEG approached me and asked what i wanted to switch sides. I said the sword of power (although i had already gotten another one by then) we had sold earlier and the head of the wizard who had taken it from us which he agreed to. In the next war, we did well but lost in a surprise flanking maneuver I had arranged with the BBEG. We discovered that the good king was actually an evil lich and my party and that of the BBEG attacked and destoryed the lich that threatened all life on the planet. After the battle, I was so hurt I had to 'surrender' to the BBEG. He assumed control and we got a decent peace settlement. Our party then explored more dungeons including a orc lair where we fought thousands of orcs and fled by use of a wish before they killed us all. By this time, a red haired woman appeared on my castle's doorstep with a small red headed boy named Nevenalyn saying "Look what you did!"( who became my next character in the campaign as we semi-retired our higherlevel characters). Entire campaign lasted for two and half years playing every week during college.
