Manual of the Planes, on the other hand, I had absolutely no intention of buying. I had planar travel and never use it in my campaigns. However the alternate cosmologies section I actually consider to be the finest thing WOTC has produced for D&D, with the possible exception of the Players' Handbook.

I agree with that - I didn't think too much of MotP overall (when compared to my 1e version, that seemed to include a lot more info), but the cosmologies section was inspired. The monsters section was nice also, albeit most of its contents should have been in the original MM.

The Manual of the Planes leads the race of the non-core books, followed by Tome & Blood, the first of the Splatbook team. The last of the Splatbook team is Song & Silence, clearly hampered by its weak right (bard) leg.

you are missing some.
FR DM Screen
Stronghold builder's guide
Dm Screen
Character Record Sheets
City of SPider Queen
Return to Temple of ELemental Evil
8 Adventure Path modules
Enemies & Allies

Wasn't counting adventures. I missed Stronghold Builder's Guide and Enemies and Allies.

I didn't include the Living Greyhawk Gazeteer or Deities and Demigods even though I bought both of those.

I gave LGG away to my brother for his greyhawk campaign and I returned DDG.
