At a glance I don't see the connection. Isn't it a normal fantasy setting? I notice Tharizdun is one of the deities, though...I’d suggest Exandria (the Critical Role setting). For reasons.

I did consider Dark Sun but a blistering hot desert world didn't seem Tharizdunny to me somehow. Maybe the EEE would work, though, as that entity is tied to Elemental Evil and Athas has a strong tie to the four elements. EEE has always been a front for Tharizdun to hide behind, though. I somehow feel that he would be out in the open in all his glory in this end-of-times setting. To answer the OP's question seriously, I think it would be interesting to consider thari- err, the EEE, as actual intelligence behind the Dragon of Tyr, and to make all of Dark Sun his dead and dying world.
Oh, good. I wasn't sure how baked in it was. I would just want those ancestries to face Decay like any other creature on the world.I think you could ignore that (or refluff it or explain it away) easily enough.
Because aside from that, it seems to have pretty much everything you want, especially fractured / distorted time and reality.
I've got some Scarred Lands 3E books. The setting is too normal, I think. It had a bit of a shake up 150 or so years ago but now goes about its business almost as a normal fantasy setting. It's a little out of date, but White Wolf's Scarred Lands could be perfect for you with a little lore rewrite. The whole setting is a mess from a titans vs gods war.
For some reason, I always think of that setting as old and obscure. Probably because it wasn't popular with my play group. It does, apparently, already have a 5e conversion, so it may be my impression that needs updated. What do you mean by, "out of date"?
The current arc ofvthe current campaign is vaguely pointing towards something similar. At a glance I don't see the connection. Isn't it a normal fantasy setting? I notice Tharizdun is one of the deities, though...
They do. It’s just that by default Decay turns them into a specific kind of monster, but I think you could change that without too much trouble.Oh, good. I wasn't sure how baked in it was. I would just want those ancestries to face Decay like any other creature on the world.
I couldn't see a connection when I glanced over the wiki about this setting. It is an island divided up between the Knorr barbarians and Charonti necromancers. Can you please tell me a little more about the setting and how it would be suitable?Jakandor. (Seriously.)
