What would you assign as the ECL of a Quasi-diety?

I'm working from memory here, but they get DR 35/+4, SR 32, Cold, Acid, Electricy Immunity, Immune to ability damage, ability drain, and energy drain, Fire Resistance 20, Base move 60', maximized hitpoint rolls, transmutation immunity?, and some unspecified stat increase.

The DR 35/+4 and SR 32 alone makes it a rather high value template. Most enemies will not be able to hurt you in melee combat, and it takes a 12th level wizard to even effect you with a spell. I think 10-20 is a good baseline, probably something around 14.

Yes, and you're too pedantic.

What I was pointing out is that all of the gods in D&Dg have class levels, so I was basing my statement upon that. I'm not saying that the rules prohibit the creation of a god that does not have class levels. It just seems kinda strange to me that a diety wouldn't have class levels, such as a quasi-diety goblin (how odd would that be?).

In short, I was just pointing out the common theme of the book. Myself, I wouldn't create a diety that didn't have class levels. But that's a whole different discussion, and probably a really long one at that.

Edit: edited for politeness. I've had a really bad week. My car basically died on me and my engine is toast. That's why I've been kinda scarce around here. My apologies to anyone that saw the beginning of the original post.

Don't sweat it; Crom and his Devils was being a rude a$$munchkin. ;)

I hope you can find a cheap engine. Good luck.

Ok, now I am really confused. Where in my question of ECL value am I requesting info on creating a class-less quasi-deity? What I was asking, and forgive if the original question was clumsy, is the level adjustment value folks would consider appropriate for a quasi-deity template, as in drow having a +2 value, ogre +8, etc.

ECL, to me, is a simple equation: CL+LA=ECL. CL is class levels and LA is level adjustment.

P.S. Sorry to be rude, kreynolds, and I am sorry to hear about your car. Hope things turn out alright for you.

Actually, quasi-deities, as presented at the beginning of DDg, do not get immunity to cold, acid, and electricity. Gotta be at least a demigod for that (divine rank=1+). See page 26 under Divine Characteristics.

There are two deities who don't have class levels that I can think of immediately: Bahamut & Tiamat. Both of them are just listed as dragons with Lesser Deity status

Get the Deities & Demigods web enhancement from the WotC website. It has the advancement of Erbin, the deity of beggers, from his humble beginnings (rogue 1 - quasi-deity;DR0) through his rise to power (rogue 1/fighter 1 - demigod DR1; rogue 5/fighter 5 lesser deity DR6; rogue 10/ fighter 10 intermediate deity DR11; and greater deity DR 16 rogue 20/fighter 20)

What's really weird is seeing a quasi-deity with 13 hit points and an AC of 45.

No CR or ECL, unfortunately.

The Einherjar (D&D pg 199) are given a CR of 20, although they are quasi-deity 20th-level fighters. No CR bonus is given for the quasi-diety traits (which seems odd).

Cheers
Nell.
