Councillor I like.

Appropriate at every level
Covers the Int/Wis/Cha piece quite well.
Doesn’t suggest they’re just another fighter.
Frames party boons as advice not orders.
Different enough from the bard.
Brings to mind guidance councilors, lawyers, and therapists, though.

Mostly, except for heroes like Conan.
Even then, some of the terminology associated with him (Savage Sword of Conan, Conan the Destroyer, Conan the Slayer) aren't exactly positive. It's anti-hero stuff and certainly fits the trope, but I don't see much difference in Conan the Barbarian and John Carter: Warlord of Mars.

No, you're right and I shouldn't have included it along with things like samurai or druid. A raging fighter-type would likely be included, but it either would be an antihero class (like an assassin) or have a very different name.
