What Would You Call...

This thread is for getting help to come up with names for concepts that seem to be outside any classes in any roleplaying games you know of. Let me start with an example.

What would you call a mediator between the gods and the primal spirits?

Are you talking base class names or Paragon Path/Epic Destiny names?

I happen to be in the camp that prefers "single word" names for base classes, whereas I don't mind more multi-word descriptive names for PP/EDs. So before I tried to add to Danny's list, I'd want to make sure I was aiming at the right thing.

Here's my shot:

Simple names

Intercessor
Spiritualist
Mediant

Longer names

God Speaker
Nature Caller
Harmonic Diviner

Fantasy Titles

Medium of the Divine Realms
Shaman of the 999 Fortunes
Pathlighter of the Spirit-touched
Spiritsinger to the Five Hidden Winds

I'm sorry, but to be clear...

The OP asks for a title of "a mediator between the gods and primal spirits."

The titles offered seem to be assuming this means a mediator between mortals and the gods/primal spirits.

In which case, pretty much all of the offered names work, particularly "Shaman" (it is pretty much the definition). I also like "Herald" quite a bit.

However, the way the OP reads, what would we call some mediator between the Gods...and...the primal spirits. As in, a class that deals in mediating the divine/immortals.

Which reading is correct?

I assumed it was based on the 4E PHB2 backstory, which talks about the primal spirits preventing the primordials and gods from destroying the world during the Dawn War, and enforcing a ban that keeps those powerful entities from entering the world.

So names like intercessor, interceder, envoy, emissary, broker, and mediator all seem like they would be appropriate, but all lack some descriptive element that includes that god/primal spirit aspect.

That element would be campaign specific, either in the form of an additional descriptor (such as "Cthonic", "Heavenly" or "Primal"), or in there being no need for an additional descriptor because it is understood that "Intercessor" has a very specific meaning.
