What Would You Get From This Pile?

I'm from the Philippines and one of the defunct "gaming" stores (it's part toy store and part TSR distributor) is selling its inventory. The boxes and modules are going for around $2.00 while you can get any three TSR paperbacks for the same price (they have Dragons of Spring Dawning but alas, that's the only book in the trilogy that they have).

It's mostly Dragonlance stuff and even the occasional Lankhmar module but what would you get from this pile? Better yet, anything I should look out for? (I did see a Best of Dragon Vol. 3 in there.)

The exact address (in case you have relatives there) is at Shopesville Arcade, San Juan City, Metro Manila. It's located at the ground floor, beside Mercury Drug.

It's not in Manila city per se but it is part of "Metro Manila" which covers most of the urban cities in the Philippines.

I would see if there was anything of Planescape in there, as some of those are pretty rare and go for a good price on ebay. But if I found one, no way in the Abyss I would sell it. They are worth the fourty or fifty dollars on ebay, but are priceless to a fan. (And don't ask Shemmy about what he paid for one of them ;) )

I have no idea about novels, nor any other 2nd ed. products, I afraid.

I would wish you good luck, but it seems you have already used it, finding this deal.

[Edit- somehow I deleted half of a sentence in there]

If they have it, I'd recommend everything Planescape.

Of course, that's because I don't have it, and am increasingly regretting not getting it while there was the chance... I just recently got the basic PS boxed set for $20 used, so it's a start...

Looks like you found a liquidation stash of old TSR stock from the 80s

There appears to be a few stacks of the Atlas of the DragonLance world there.

My suggestion? If you have the cash? Buy them all. Every single one. Unlike much of the stuff you show there - those are not edition dependent.

But they sure as hell are OOP and quite rare.

Ebay em. They regularly fetch between 30 and 40 a piece on ebay. I've seen them go as high as $60 - (though not in a while).

Unfortunately I can't eBay them -- I don't have a credit card and we were banned from PayPal for quite some time (during Christmas they allowed outgoing PayPal from our country but not incoming).

It's also the same problem that prevents me from buying stuff for you people and mailing it to you guys.

But who knows, maybe come Christmas time when a friend/relative drops by here maybe I can send stuff from the pile to a US address where hopefully it'd be easier to send it from there (does EnWorld have an address I can send stuff to?).

Wow, I wonder if the potential eBay revenue would cover a flight to the Phillipines and carting all that stuff back to the US . . .

What a treasure trove!
