What would you like to see expanded/updated for Greyhawk?

I have been over to that sight and I, too, have been amazed at the number of participants there and how active the board is long after RttTEE was initially released. That says something about the quality of the product and maybe it points to some DMs out there that were wanting a module set in Greyhawk. Of course, others placed it in their campaigns as well.

As for the PC game ToEE, I have it but I have yet to install it because of the massive amount of bugs it has. Yes, I do realize that there are now 2 official patches out, along with the Circle of Eight patches, but from what I understand there are still some issues that need to be addressed, i.e. major - and I mean major - gameplay headaches in the Nodes. I truly was hoping ToEE would do for Greyhawk what Baldur's Gate 1 did for Forgotten Realms. I have run into "new blood" paper and pencil players who were directly influenced by first playing the game on their computer.

I have signed up at Canonfire. Unfortunatly it still seems to be a secret to many! I didn't even realize there was so much done for Greyhawk that you list in your post. This is the first time I have read in one place all the information that is out there for us. I have a feeling the vast majority are clueless to what you spelled out. I would say this is due to how the information is spread out in various sources rather than a core 3.5 book.

As for your suggestion about a 3rd party taking over, I like the idea! Whether or not it will happen remains to be seen (I won't hold my breath). There are some very good 3rd source parties out there, i.e. Necromancer, Green Ronin, etc.

I'd like Gazzateers like the ones that they have done over at White Wolf for Ravenloft. Each book gives an overview of 3 to 4 domains. The back details certain monsters, classes and NPCs.

I'd pay for that. An over al hard back would be nice as well.

The Return to XXX adventures were an interesting spin on a few old Greyhawk adventures. I'd like to see more stuff along those lines, but perhaps done in a slightly different way. It would be really cool if they could take a few of those (half-dozen or so) and update them but put them into a cohesive campaign/adventure arc.

But if that's too much work, I'd just like to see the old adventures updated to the most current ruleset, but given a facelift to fix any problems that existed in the original adventures. There's several I never got a chance to play or DM, but would jump at the chance to own updated versions and use them. I don't buy buy them in their current form (original, but out of print, or pdf) just because I feel it would be too much work to update them.

That said, I would like to see the Greyhawk deities written up in as much detail as was found in FR2E's Faiths & Avatars series.

Hah! I edited my post, because that actually was the book I was looking for, the FR Faiths and Avatars series, I just got confused with their 3E book. I have no use for god stats, if my players ever get that high in level, I'll make stuff up, but I doubt anyone will ever want to play that type of game.

And I'd like to see more 3.0/3.5 treatments of 1E classics as well. And more Planescapy-Greyhawky stuff would be sweet!

I'm not sure what I can add that hasn't already been stated here and in other places numerous times. A 3.5e Hardcover rulebook of Greyhawk would please me to no end. I wouldn't even really care if that was the end of it, right there. Sadly, however, I don't see it happening. Maybe...if Eberron turns out to be a disappointment it will signal WotC that they should target long time fans/gamers instead of newcomers.

I'd love a big background article on Iggwilv, Grazzt and Iuz as well wycen. I'd also like a semi-historical article on Zagig and the binding of the demideities. It's the sort of thing that a player of mine would love to try to recreate.

I think alot of people would like to see this. But I agree, it'll never happen, especially with the release of "Ebmorron"...

Now, I know I'm not a mod, but it's my thread so I'll play one for a second. Pleas don't do this. Don't like eberron? fine, but don't insult people who do, and don't for a second pretend that eberron is the reason that WotC doesn't support GH like we'd like them to. GH stuff isn't produced like it used to be because people weren't buying it. That's an old fact, and one that eberron has nothing to do with.

While I think of it, while I'd love to see a more full blown CS style book as well (sorry Ottergame), what I was thinking of with the thread was things we actually WILL see.

So ideas for future GH articles in dragon/dungeon.

That being said, if you've got other ideas, go wild!

I've e-mailed Charles Ryan new D&D Brand Manager and written a letter ago in response to a campaign to get a D&D Greyhawk Hardback. Charles said it ain't happening

Greyhawk Adventures would be a cool title, however, all's we can hope for is the LGJ compliation that Erik Mona is trying to put together. Hopefully it will have some new stuff in it. I'd like to see a Knights of the Hart write up and the Old Lore Bards. Some of the groups that left out of the prestige class write ups of the organizations in the LGG.

Also, I'd love to see more of the Flanness cities articles come out, more Greyhawk 1e/2e monsters converted (like the dragonnel and aspis) and maybe some expanded cleric/worship information for Greyhawk gods beyond the Core D&D pantheon. But the majority of stuff that impacts LG Triad held areas would get bogged down forever so it isn't worth it.
