Whatever happened to BESM d20/Anime d20

When Guardians of Order went under, BESM went over to White Wolf. However, the Anime d20 and some other material remains OGL. Was anything ever done with it? I think i remember seeing it crop up somewhere weird... was it Link West that used a variant as its underlying system?

Anyone still play it? Has anyone kept publishing in that rules set?

Not sure about the publishing side, but right here on EN World, there's a thread that's still alive (um, or possibly reanimated . . .) as of two days ago, after nearly four years! So - maybe - it's being played, even now.

Maybe it stopped because it was too anime?

I thought it was a solid, if underproduced, design, but at the time, I could never figure out how it was relevant to anything I wanted to do. I was already big into Tri-Stat, whereas I liked 3e on its own terms. I guess more recently I have become really intrigued by the various OGL designs. BESM d20 monster design was certainly straightforward.
