When I first came, mods were PirateCat, Eric, Angramainyu (I'm sure I didn't spell it right, but oh well), and Wisp. I was around for some of the Pantheon silliness, and I liked it to be perfectly honest. They kept it to one thread, and you could get involved or not. It wasn't really exlusionary like some people make it out to be, just some long time posters goofing around on their favorite message board.

I remember when PC and Maud'dib become a mod. I first came upon the newspage April 1st 2 years ago and became a lurker on the boards a couple of months later; followed by my fisrt post in august 2000 IIRC.

The way you word it, you make it sound like Eric was some crazed puppeteer randomly pulling the strings, making others dance helplessly to his insane jig, calling the shots and laughing maniacally at the humanity of it all behind a flickering screen...
