What's best to multiclass with a Knight or Beguiler?

Ny,

I think it's the auras and battle command abilities.

I still think a Warlock/Beguiler has some very interesting possibilities.

How's that?
That combo would be a character that the other characters could rally around and both protect the others and make them better by his presence. He'd be a great warrior-king type, for instance:

Beguiler: Rogue, Scout, Thief-Acrobat, Sneak Attack Fighter, Barbarian 1

Knight: Feat Rogue 2, Fighter 2, Psychic Warrior 2, Duskblade + Dragon Disciple

My Opinion...

Maybe Wilder would be better for Knight, since they both benefit from Charisma, but the Psychic Warrior I would think would make a better choice because half their powers are conductive to fighting... At early levels, Biofeedback, a little later on, Animal Affinity... for a one on one slugfest, both of those would be extremely useful... and then we have all of the Blade Powers!

As for Beguiler, my idea is sort of the same thing... take a class that uses a different prime attribute, but that might make for an interesting concept... something like an Elven or Half-Elven Druid/Beguiler. Take the Sylvan aspect to the max.

I'd have to take a closer look at the combination, but at a glance, Knight / Dragon Shaman seems like a potentially good combo. Dragon Shaman's d10 hit dice and medium BAB don't drag the Knight down too much, and the DS's focus on party support via auras should synergise well with the Knight's focus on party protection via keeping enemies occupied, as both roles effectively require the character to be at the forefront of combat.

The DS's auras and Knight's challenges also work well together without interfering, as each can be maintained without any actions once activated - the only thing you can't do is switch auras on the same turn that you issue a Challenge.
