Whats in MM2?

Well Val, my understanding is, WotC bought the rights to use the monsters BUT they, in accordance with copyright, will change them so that there's NO reference to any campaign worlds, as well as possible change the names as well. Course I don't think they'll do that with the Hags (Hags are Hags no matter WHERE you go! :)) but perhaps things like the Ratmen and the High Gorgon might get changed. Again hard to say what DID go but those are my guesses so far. Have to wait and see when MM2 comes out in September.

More importantly, which one will have flumphs? Also, which one is more malevolent and benign?

i would vote for the Tome of Horrors on both. ;) that's not a bias either; just how many fiend folio creatures were used in the 3e MM? how many have been used since then? wotc sure hasn't been showing a big interest in the FF, so i say they're probably leaving about half of the book to scott. :)

How does Wotc have the right to take information owned by other companies and publish it as there's?
It's called the OGL. Then again, if they were to use open content from another company's books, they'd have to release their own book under the OGL too.

Another option is that they just threw some money at the other publishers and fixed things that way.

Daemons/Yugoloths appear in MotP.

Between the two books, ToH is going to be the most vile and evil, after all.... Orcus had some influence there! :p

I'd like the CC monsters that will be reprinted in MM2 include all those that were drawn by Guy Davis, as well as those on the other side of a page where there is a Guy Davis illo. That way, I could cut off these pages without regrets and send them to the decontamination center of La Hague along with the other toxic wastes.

There's two WW illustrators that I just can't stand: Cobb and Davis.

More seriously, I'd like to have the golems redone as true golems (with spell immunities).

I have no idea if that rumour about including Creature Collection monsters is true. If it is, however, I'd suspect there would have been bartering involved ('you can put this in Tome of Horrors, if we can use this in MM2 as non-OGC'). Pure speculation on my part mind you.
