What's the Best Heroic Tier Adventure?

I may be DM'ing a 4e game soon, and I was wondering what adventure people would recommend. I would prefer to start in the heroic-tier, since the players are still fairly new to 4e and as the DM I don't want to be too overwhelmed either.

HS1 The Slaying Stone would be a good candidate. I haven't read it, but it has gotten pretty much good reviews. It should fit your need. You could also look at the Chaos Scar adventures in Dungeon if you have DDI, they are all low level short adventures that you can easily tie together in various ways.

I endorse this answer.

HS1 Slaying Stone presents its information in a much more structured fashion so that you can keep the bits and pieces in your head better organized for when players decide to pursue the adventures threads in a different order than you had planned. It's a rather simple adventure, but it's the best of the lot. You can check out my review of it here: Review: HS1 The Slaying Stone « My Girlfriend is a DM

The Chaos Scar adventures are some of the best written heroic tier adventures within DDI and best of all they're SHORT. They last about 3 to 5 encounters long, which means it is actually realistic for you to complete all the content they provide within one or two meetings, rather than force you to create abrupt cliffhangers in between sessions.
