What's the ECL for Chosen of Mystra?

I'm not a great rules master. They get +10 to constitution, bunch of spell immunities, and some spells per day right? I can never rember, but I guess ecl of +10 would be about right.

Well, they get +10 to constitution, they get to choose to be immune to one spell from each spell level 1-9, get to cast a spell from each level 1-9 as a spell like ability 1/day, detect magic line of sight. That seems to be all of the abilites.

While the con bonus is very nice, I think it's the spell immunities and spell like abilities are the big thing. According to the CR it seems it gives +10 CR. So, +10 seems to be there anbd is a good guess.

If so, are they limited to spells without expensive/XP components?

It's not a template as defined as such. I was reverse engineering an NPC that is a chosen. As far as I know there is no official write up of this Template.

Use Savage Species to determine ECL. I expect it's a lot - it gives more powers than a half-celestial, for instance.

Does anyone actually think a 18th level chosen is as powerful as a 28th level wizard? Or a 20th level chosen as powerful as a 30th level wizard? Or a 35th level chosen as powerful as a 45th level wizard?

Ten levels is alot to give up from one epic constitution item, minor spell immunity, and 9 more spell slots. What could you get in 10 Epic levels instead? What sort of power could you get from 5 Epic feats? How many spell slots could you pick up in 10 levels?

I have a couple players that wanted to do this. I came up with my own template. I also based it off of what God they were the "Chosen" of. Lesser, Interm, greater, etc. The more powerful the more increase to the ability, spells, etc. This is how I also based their ecl level.
