What's this symbol?

I have recently been seeing a symbol a lot and I don't know what it means. It is a big circle with a smaller circle kind of in front of it but overlapping it either to the bottom right or bottom left. Osseum and Bastion Press both use it. I have also seen it on Troll Lord Games' website as well as other places. Can someone enlighten me?

I don't know if it is a special symbol per say... Looks to me that it represents two moons in conjunction.

This Trollord symbol doesn't seem to have any signification at all. It's just fancy I would say.

Yep, that's the one. It always appears as two circles or discs, but what makes up the circles or discs differs from instance to instance.

I think it is just design Coinkidink. I do not think it symbolises anything beyond a meme in logo design.
