What's with the Ethereal Filcher?

Those of you who read the "Dragon Mountain" thread know why I'm asking this.

It seems strange to ME that the ethereal filcher is described as "lurking on the Ethereal Plane until a mark comes along" but it says in the text that it "can stay on the Ethereal fo one round before returning to the Material Plane."

Now, besides the grammer-twisting that can be done potentially with that sentence (i.e. the word CAN, etc.), it seems weird that the filcher would HAVE to return one round after stealing something. And how could you "lurk" if you're only there for one round?

I'd say it's just a mistake, and that what the text should say is that "the ethereal filcher must remain on the Ethereal for at least one round before returning to the Material Plane."

Only explanation that makes sense to me...
