The 2025 MM has a lot of monsters not in the SRD or in previous books that already are being referenced in new adventure books. It's not hard to find a replacement, though. Forge of Foes has you covered =)
Like @GarrettKP points out about Dragon Delves, there are some bits and bobs...but it won't exactly be rocket surgery to go ahead and run a 2024 Advebthre with 2014 rules. The only things I can think of that would require 5.24 rulebooks is if an adventure went all-in on bastions. Maybe a creature or effect that references the Invisibility condition or references monsters that are unique to the new MM. But for the most part, much of the changes are player-facing. So, I believe that most adventure paths will be usable with the 5.14 rulebooks with little to no issue.
So, what do you want to see from WotC for D&D in 2026?
Note, this isn't a question of "What do you think they will publish?" This is a question of "What do you want them to publish?" It is also limited to 2024 5E D&D. if you have a wishlist for reprints or support for old games or something new (Gamma World!) that belongs a different thread. Thanks.
I mean, historically, for most of 5E they didn't announce a slate she's of time, but one product at a time. However, I would wager they will do something like what they did in 2023, and lay out the 2026 slate before the Holidays, probsvly at a Con.At this point, I just want to see WotC announce something
When they laid out that slate, they did it in August. We are well past that at this point.I mean, historically, for most of 5E they didn't announce a slate she's of time, but one product at a time. Ah, apologies, that wasn't clear: I meant it is possible we might see something like what they did at PAX Unplugged in December 2023, when they announced Vecna and Infinite Staircase. So after Eberron releases, we may see some sort of announcement. When they laid out that slate, they did it in August. We are well past that at this point.
I think it’s more likely they are going back to solo book announcements.
