What's Your Bucket List Campaign to Play?

Although, funny enough the battle at the end was less climatic due to the thief (backstab x4) armed with a mage slaying sword (x2 against mages) rolling a nat 20 on the first round (they had boots of flying and were invisible) and ended up rolling max damage :/ :P It was a pretty epic gaming memory though, so I won't take that experience away from the players.

I don't have a specific campaign, or genre, I want to run/play. I'm flexible.

However, there is one thing I'd like...

I've been a bit of a forever GM, but in what longer-form play I have had in the past many years, play has been largely... I don't have a good word, so I'll use "tactical" - what the character did, in mechanical terms, has been the focus of play. Who they were as people, and character development (in a story/personality sense, as opposed to character mechanical advancement) hasn't been much of a focus.

I'd like to play a long-term game with more of that character-as-a-person focus.

My advice: Darkening of Mirkwood
