What's Your Bucket List Campaign to Play?

Although, funny enough the battle at the end was less climatic due to the thief (backstab x4) armed with a mage slaying sword (x2 against mages) rolling a nat 20 on the first round (they had boots of flying and were invisible) and ended up rolling max damage :/ :P It was a pretty epic gaming memory though, so I won't take that experience away from the players.

I don't have a specific campaign, or genre, I want to run/play. I'm flexible.

However, there is one thing I'd like...

I've been a bit of a forever GM, but in what longer-form play I have had in the past many years, play has been largely... I don't have a good word, so I'll use "tactical" - what the character did, in mechanical terms, has been the focus of play. Who they were as people, and character development (in a story/personality sense, as opposed to character mechanical advancement) hasn't been much of a focus.

I'd like to play a long-term game with more of that character-as-a-person focus.

My advice: Darkening of Mirkwood

Lots, but at the top of the pile would be to run God's Teeth (including the God's Hunt scenarios), to run or play The Great Pendragon Campaign, The Dracula Dossier and Eternal Lies or to play The Pirates of Drinax.

Over the last two years I've got to play two of my bucket list campaigns for D&D(ish):

The Banewarrens. Played it using Shadow of the Demon Lord rules and it worked great.

Eyes of the Stone Thief. Playing it in 13th Age and should wrap up next year.

My wish list for the future:

Great Pendragon Campaign.

Night's Black Agents campaign. I love the adventures. I don't love the rules.

Mutant Year Zero campaign, playing through all the books in order.

Gamma World. Adjacent or alternative to the above.

A long Twilight: 2000 campaign, probably set in the United States. Current rule set is very solid.

A long Eclipse Phase campaign. I love this universe but not sure about the rules.

A long Star Wars campaign set during the Rebellion.
