What's Your Bucket List Campaign to Play?

The 2 campaigns I did the most work on that have never even been CLOSE to being run are a post-apocalyptic fantasy setting for 3.5Ed and one based on M:tG using HERO as the mechanical underpinnings.

But what's your campaign that you have never had chance to play but would love to if you could?

There are a ton.

The Great Pendragon Campaign
Beyond the Witchlight
Tomb of Annihilation
Chronicles of the Dragonlance
A thoroughly revised "Skull & Shackles"
Two-Headed Serpent
A full Ravenloft campaign based on thoroughly revised and expanded "Curse of Strahd"
My own "Return of the Ice Witch"
Revisit my own unfinished "The Green Guild of Harlond"
Revisit my own unfinished "The Goblin Campaign"
Finish my own "Esoteric Order of the Golden Globe"
Finish my own (current) "Tales of the Dogfish"
Gamma World for nostalgias sake using a D20 modern based system.
A Star Trek campaign using the rules for Dogs in the Vinyard.
A Star Wars "Exploration Corp" game set in the Old Republic that is basically Star Trek in the Star Wars universe.
A Star Wars "Survivors" campaign with the PCs all hunted Padawans in the aftermath of Order 66.
A "Tortall" campaign using the rules for Pendragon with custom cultures suitable for Tortall.

That's probably on the order of 100 years of gaming. It's not going to happen, but still.

My big wish is an epic campaign with minimal fighting, which unfortunately lets out almost everything published. It’s possible there are enough flexible adventures for The One Ring to do the job. Maybe also for Kult. But so many great adventures come fenced by necessary violence, which I’m just not in the mood for, and the work of changing them seems a good approximation of the work needed to create something new from the ground up.

(Inevitably, someone helpfully suggests campaigns which have a lot of flexibility but converge on obligatory big fight scenes. Not what I’m after right now.)

As player? Currently Brindlewood Bay

As GM (and possibly as player)? Some of my own homebrews. Possibly getting them to publishable level. Also I want to actually play Draw Steel before working on Major Property Damage.

I’d like to be a player. Seriously. In a long running game.

After that, if I get to pick I’d love to play in a well run WHFRP campaign. I’d also love to be a player in something like an Arden Vul megadungeon run in something like GURPS. Finally getting to be a player in something like Dracula Dossier I think would also be a blast.

At all times assuming and good GM and good player group.
Arden Vul looks like it could be an amazing campaign, but it would be hard enough to run in 1e/OSRIC due to the sheer size of the thing and the amount of background lore.

I'm usually very amenable to running whatever people want to play, and I've got lots of experience converting things into different systems (currently running Zeitgeist using Fate Core, for example) but I'm breaking into a cold sweat at the very thought of converting something that size into GURPS.

Not that I'd be qualified to do it, since I've never played GURPS. However, playing something / anything using GURPS Space is on my own bucket list. Ideally an Expanse-style campaign that's restricted to the solar system and uses as little "superscience" as possible - doesn't have to be the actual Expanse setting.

So, sitting at work today suffering from a cold, I was pondering something. If you could play a campaign that you've never done before but would absolutely love to, what would it be?

For me, it would be the classic Dungeons & Dragons dungeon crawl. Learning about D&D as a kid that was something that sparked the imagination but in 40 years of gaming, I have never had the opportunity to play a full on massive dungeon crawl type campaign. I know how dull and awkward some people find dungeons but just once I would like to play through a massive dungeon exploration from 1st on up.

But what's your campaign that you have never had chance to play but would love to if you could?
The same. I'd love to do a dungeon crawl from 1-20.

I've got a couple. There's definitely a match between what's on my shelves and what I want to have:
  • A thorough hexcrawl campaign through Dolmenwood
  • Go through the six-book campaign of Symbaroum
  • Do a long historical campaign. Something medieval/Viking-esque. I did plenty, but life has kept them to medium length at most.
  • A medium length dramatic Cyberpunk (genre, not game) campaign
  • A long space-cowboy sci-fi campaign. I've yet to find the right system for this (I might make one)

I've been hearing a lot about The Enemy Within campaign for Warhammer and the Great Pendragon Campaign for, obviously, Pendragon. I'd like to give both of those a try from either the GM or player's seat.

I'd like another go at Masks of Nyarlathotep. I've played it from the player perspective (back in 1989) and given it a partial run twice (once in CoC and once in d20 Cthulhu) and I'd like to run it again for players willing to take on the challenge.

I'd also consider a Savage Tide campaign from Paizo's Dungeon Magazine days. I've DMed Shackled City in 3.5e and Age of Worms in 5e.
